Tuesdays are about to get Terrific!
Wed 27th July 2016
Keep the kids entertained for free this summer by bringing them into St Austell to enjoy four weeks of back-to-back family friendly entertainments being hosted at White River Place.
The shopping centre’s hugely popular annual Terrific Tuesdays programme offers an action-packed schedule of activities held in the heart of the town centre from 11am until 4pm every Tuesday in August.
After a much-anticipated visit from The Man Engine to St Austell at 2pm on July 28th, the first Terrific Tuesday takes place on August 2nd, with more events on August 9th, August 16th and August 23rd.
This year’s Terrific Tuesdays programme boasts a busy mixture of children’s entertainers, face painting, live music, arts and crafts activities, musical workshops, dance performances and workshops, puppet shows, a traditional Punch and Judy show, and visits from some familiar faces from TV and film including Star Wars, Disney Princesses, Paw Patrol and Transformers
Richard Hurst, Manager of White River Place Shopping Centre, said: “We know how hard it can be for parents to keep coming up with ideas of things to do in the school summer holidays that don’t break the bank, so every year we try to help by laying on a lively programme of family-friendly fun activities for all ages to enjoy, hosted here in the heart of St Austell.
“There is loads to enjoy this summer, from very traditional Punch and Judy shows through to visits from costumed characters who appear in the latest popular children’s TV shows and cult films like Star Wars. I’m especially delighted to welcome back St Austell based dance company 4 Real Dance to host another day of performances and workshops, after their Dance Day last summer proved such a hit with visitors to the town.”
